Carlow U13 Vs Kilkenny

A great home win for Carlow  under 13’s against Kilkenny yesterday their first match of 2016 and their first match for a month and  It  didnt show straight from the kickoff.  Carlow controlled the match, some great displays through out the team the first try scored by callum fisher after some great work from the pack was no more than they deserved with time running out in the first half carlow fowards powered from their own 22 to Kilkennys 22 with some great carries from Paddy Rogers , Daniel Culleton and Adam Carbery with the ball fed back to outhalf Oisin Nolan who put in a great over the top ball for Ivan Murphy to chase and win driving towards the the line Ivan was just held up but with Carlow their in numbers Jet Leonard picked and drove over for Carlows second try and a 10-0 lead at half time. The second half went much the same all over the pitch Carlows tackling and rucking were far two strong for Kilkenny and it wasn’t to long before the third try came again great work from Ivan Murphy who seems to cover ever inch of the pitch carried into kilkennys 22 again just stop short off the line but again Callum Fisher was their again to finish off the move for carlow for a 15-0 lead. Kilkenny  managed to get themselfs on the score board with time running out Carlow finisned out the remaining minutes with a great team win 15-7 Carlows Oisin Nolan Oscar Shorthall Callum Fisher and Daniel Culleton had an outstanding game but  man off the match has  to go to Ivan Murphy who put in a great performance it was also great to see Sean Quinlan back on the pitch after been out four months through injury
