Carlow got their season off to a great start at home too New Ross on Saturday from the kickoff Carlow were on top and the game continued that way through out thanks to a strong display from their pack 2 trys from James Cowen and one a piece from Milo Feehan, Daniel Culleton and Callum Fisher one converted by Oisin Nolan brought the first half to a close with Carlow leading 27-0.
Carlow came out in the second half determined to keep the pressure on New Ross and picked up where they left off from the first half a great team try finished off by Joshua Kane for the first try of the second half next was a great intercept try from Milo Feehan starting out side his own 22 and racing clear to touch down under the posts Evan Gorry Keogh was next to touch down. Man of the match James Cowan got his third try of the day soon after, the highlight of the second half had to be hooker Paddy Rogers run from his own 22 to a metre of the new Ross line great support play from Carlow seen the ball recycled to callum Fisher who smashed over for his second off the day with 3 of the trys converted one by Oisin Nolan and two from Ivan Murphy left Carlow with a 58-0 win at the final whistle a great team display from the lads. Carlow meet Kilkenny away next Saturday.
