Rugby Players

We have a proud tradition of developing players through our youth systems. However we are always looking for new players join and contribute to our Rugby Club. If you are looking to take part in rugby at any level from underage throught to adult rugby there is always a place for you. Please contact head coach - John Burns (087 4177373)

Coaches / Managers

To continue to develop rugby at all levels within the club, we are always looking for new and experienced people to assist with coaching and managing our numerous teams within the club.

Physio

Carlow Rugby Club are fortunate to have the services of Stephen Smyth, Physio and rehabilitation expert with the Leinster Senior team. Together with Maeve they ensure that our players receive top quality treatment and when injured are well looked after and back on the field as soon as possible.

Medical Officer

Dr Leo Dillon Castledermot is the club's medical officer and continues to give his time and expertise in the treatment of injured players.

Head Coach

John Burns, our head coach has successfully coached at Portlaoise, Tullamore and Portarlington. He also coached the Leinster Junior team to winning an inter provincial series. John brings a wealth of experience to our club and likes to play a fast 15 man off loading game which is exciting to watch.

Volunteers

We have been a very successful rugby club over the years, but this has only been possible due to a tireless volunteer group that have devoted large amounts of time to the cause. We are continually seeking ways to continue the running and development of the club, and this can only be successful with continued support and assistance from volunteers.
